I tend to gravitate to simple projects to knit and to wear when it’s hot outside, but it’s nice to have a little added detail to make them a little more fun.
Avondale by Tammy Gore is a pretty, basic summer tee, worked in fingering weight yarn from the top down. Lace panels at the side add a little cuteness and ventilation, which I think everyone can use when it’s hot outside.
The design is available in nine sizes up to a 64 inch chest, and is meant to be worn with 0 to 2 inches of positive ease.
You can get a copy of the pattern on Raverly.

We’re a big Studio Ghibli household, and while they are sometimes very protective of their copyrights (as evidenced by the number of patterns on Ravelry that were removed from the service when it received a takedown notice back in 2021), there are still a fair number of Totoro knitting patterns (as well as other designs I’m sure we’ll get to someday). Let’s check them out!
