You probably have heard about Annie’s and seen their catalogs bursting with all sorts of goodies for knitters, crocheters and other crafters. The company has just started a new Facebook page, and if you give it a like between now and Aug. 15 you can get a free knitting pattern for a simple knit cowl.
The one skein project worked in super bulky yarn uses dropped stitches and large button to make a big statement. This is the kind of project you can whip up in a weekend and wear all fall and winter long.

We’re a big Studio Ghibli household, and while they are sometimes very protective of their copyrights (as evidenced by the number of patterns on Ravelry that were removed from the service when it received a takedown notice back in 2021), there are still a fair number of Totoro knitting patterns (as well as other designs I’m sure we’ll get to someday). Let’s check them out!
