I’ve been in and out all week with my daughter home from school, so I missed sharing this with you earlier, but the free dishcloth pattern of the week from Lily’s 8 Weeks of Summer Dishcloth Extravaganza is now available.
The theme for the week is the Perfect Picnic, and the knit pattern is a basket dishcloth worked in two colors in garter stitch and a slip stitch pattern. It even has a little handle to make it more basket-like (which you could of course leave off, but it works to hang the cloth over a cabinet drawer handle, maybe). Pattern linked above is a PDF.
The crochet cloth of the week is a cute three-color gingham number. These are so fun, they make me want to knit more whimsical washcloths!

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
