Video instruction is a big deal across education on the Internet, but particularly in crafting instruction. Craftsy is of course the major player, with 28 different classes just about knitting and more classes in all crafty genres being added all the time.
Lion Brand Yarn recently announced its first foray into the world of online video knitting instruction with its class “The Knitting Doctor: Mistakes and How to Fix Them.”
The course includes 13 “chapters” and 55 minutes of video instruction that will be accessible indefinitely. Classes feature the same method of teaching used at the Lion Brand Yarn Studio store in New York City. It covers thinks like learning how to read your knitting, picking up dropped stitches, “tinking,” using a lifeline, fixing twisted stitches and more.
The class runs $24.99 and has a money-back guarantee. I haven’t had a chance to check it out yet but I will let you know more if and when I do. If any of you try it out I’d love to hear a report.
