There’s something really fun about using stitch patterns in knitting projects. Maybe it forces you to pay more attention than just knitting Garter Stitch or Stockinette, which makes it more meditative.
Maybe all the fun stitch work makes you more interested in seeing how it comes out so you knit faster, so even a big project feels like it doesn’t take that much time.
I don’t know. But I do know that the Lerato Wrap by Noma Ndlovu gives you lots of opportunities to play with texture while making a long, warm and cozy wrap.
It’s worked in Aran weight yarn and has panels of stitch patterns that run across the length of the wrap. And while it might look complex, the patterns are all made with knit and purl stitches, so this is a great project for a newer knitter looking to step up to a project that’s a little more involved.
The pattern is available on Ravelry for $5.50.
