It seems like I am always looking for more ways to use more yarn these days as I am really working to clear out my stash. Making pom-poms, tassels and other embellishments — whether used on a knitting project or in other ways — is a great way to use up bits of yarn, and it’s really fun, too.
Evelyn from Nemcsok Farms has a simple tutorial for making a yarn tassel with bulky yarn using your hand to size it. This uses a lot of yarn really quickly and is fun for the top of a hat, the ends of a scarf or just hanging from your craft room door.
Do you ever make yarn tassels? I’d love to hear what you use them for.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
