This cool double-layered potholder from the Chilly Dog is a classic I hadn’t thought about in a while. Inspired by a crocheted cloth given by Chilly Dog’s mother-in-law, this version is worked in an easy slip stitch pattern in a self-striping yarn.
When the knitting is done you fold it just so and it makes a square, perfect for protecting your table or to help you grab something hot off the stove.
You can of course use the same idea to make bigger potholders if you have bigger pots, but this one is really cute and a relatively quick project.
Do you remember these from your childhood? Have you made anything like it? I may just have to add this one to my list!
