Not long ago I brought you a roundup of Doctor Who inspired knitting patterns, and now there’s another great roundup of stitching inspired by TV and movies over at Knithacker you’ll want to check out.
The collection features a knit TV with Oprah’s face on it, a circular yoke sweater decorated with TARDISes and a pillow stitched with Elvish script, to name a few. (There’s also the crochet version of the cowl thing from “The Hunger Games” I mentioned in my also-recent guide to dystopian knitwear.)
In the non-knit portion of the roundup you’ll find mini crocheted figures from “Pee Wee’s Playhouse,” a crocheted communicator a la Uhura from “Star Trek” and an amazing “Law and Order” needlepoint.
Have you ever knit or stitched something out of pop culture? I’d love to hear about it!
