Here’s yet another fun scarf project that uses a material you might not have thought of knitting with before: lace.
Yes, you can make lace with your knitting, but I mean actually knitting with lace fabric. That’s what Mel of Mellywood’s Mansion did when she was gifted a yard of lace fabric.
She cut it into strips and serged one side, then cut holes in the other side and knit it just like you’d do ruffle yarn.
This is really an ingenious use of fabric and the results are pretty, too. Check it out.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
