I’ve from time to time shared a Pin of the Week, which usually has just been something interesting I came across on Pinterest the week before, but I thought it might be fun instead to share some of the more popular — in terms of repins that I’m seeing — pins on my knitting boards instead (by the way, you can find me at sewwriter on Pinterest and I have several knitting-related boards).
This week that favorite pin would have to be to the Citadel pattern by Beata Jezek from Hedgehog Fibers. This pretty hat uses a striking slip stitch pattern that looks like arrows on the surface of the hat.
It’s also double-layered, and the inside layer on the sample was worked in a bright contrasting color and a cashmere yarn for extra luxury and warmth (you could wear that side out, too, if you wanted).
This is a really lovely, fun pattern and it’s free, so if you’re in the market for a new hat pattern you ought to check it out. Keep it for next fall, or knit it now if you’re in the Southern Hemisphere.
