It seems like knitters are always stitching up rainbows and Pride projects, so while I’ve done a lot of roundups related to these subjects in the past, there’s always more to write about, so let’s take a look at some more Pride knitting patterns and rainbow projects to stitch.
Tina Tse Knits has a free chart for an intersex-inclusive Pride flag that you can stitch as a wall hanging. She used scrap yarn for hers, so dig into your stash for the colors of the rainbow and beyond.
Make a teensy rainbow pin that could also be a keychain or a tiny toy with the rainbow pattern by Amanda Berry. This is a free download on Ravelry and it uses fingering weight yarn, or make a larger version with heavier yarn if you like.
Wear a giant rainbow everywhere you go with the Pride Goeth Before the Shawl pattern from Amy Snell, available on Love Crafts. It was made with mini skeins of fingering weight yarn, but you can also dive into your stash for this one. The designer says it would use 8 50 grams skeins of sock yarn or 4 100 gram skeins if they have the right colors.
If you want your rainbow a little smaller, try the Because Rainbow mitts from Wool & Wyrd. They feature a rainbow chevron pattern, and you can use rainbow colors for the background or go with a neutral. This one also uses fingering weight yarn so you can use mini skeins or leftovers from other projects. These come in five sizes so you can knit them for just about anyone.
Craftivist has a great collection of free knitting patterns, and you can scroll through them to find the LGBTQ+ Equality for Shawl pattern, which uses rainbow colors and the trans flag colors. This one uses fingering weight yarn, too, and is a great way to use a ton of colors.
