I love knitting blankets because I’m always cold, and I love having blankets everywhere so I can grab one whenever I need one.
Knitting blankets also uses a lot of yarn, so they’re great for stash busting, whether you have little odd balls left over from projects or whole skeins that never got used for anything else.
Mama in a Stitch used some of her extra skeins on her Cuddly Quick Throw, which also combines textures in a fun way. It looks even scrappier than it is because on of the yarns she used was a self-striping yarn, which shows you that it would look great with different colored stripes as well.

I’ve been writing about knitting online for a long time, and a lot of things have changed. But one good thing I think has changed over the years is that fewer people see knitting as a seasonal activity. Most people don’t seem to think anymore that there’s a time when it’s too hot to knit or too hot to wear knits.
