Someone once told me that it was wrong to knit worsted weight socks for babies, because it would be like knitting bulky socks for a grownup. To which I replied, I would love some bulky socks. (I also knit a pair of super bulky Icelandic wool knee-highs, because that’s how I roll.)
These slouchy socks from Red Heart and designed by Melissa Kemmerer may be more for lounging around the house than wearing in your boots, but goodness knows we need some comfort at home, too, right?
They use a fluffy bulky yarn and size 10 US knitting needles, so even though you have to make two of them, they should still stitch up in not a lot of time. And the women’s small size only takes on ball of yarn!
I think I’m going to have to make some of these as a gift to myself. But they’d be a nice gift for someone else as well.
