If you’re hanging out at home over the long holiday weekend (sorry if you happen to be in a place that doesn’t celebrate, or already had Thanksgiving), now might be a good time to start some holiday knitting if you haven’t already.
Check out these free ebooks to get you started.
Knitting Daily has a lot of free ebooks available to subscribers (which is also free), but the one to note right now is a gift knitting book. It includes nine patterns for hats, mitts, scarves, knit ornaments, a bag and a pair of socks. They’re all for women, but they’re still really cute. And those Winter Twilight Mitts are amazing.
If you’re looking for holiday decor, check out Red Heart’s Decorate and Celebrate ebook, which has 30 projects for knitting and crochet as well as some general yarn crafting (yarn ball ornaments!). There are afghans, snowmen, ornaments, socks, stockings and more.
And while this one isn’t actually an ebook, check out the latest episode of Tea with Shira over at the Lion Brand blog. It’s about quick knit and crochet projects you can make in a weekend for gifting, and all the patterns are free (you have to have a free account to download). So fun.
Are you working on gift or decor projects this weekend? I’d love to know what’s on your needles!
