There are bulky knitting projects and then there’s this.
Imgur user Otterknot bought three bags (yes sir, three bags full) of wool roving at a garage sale for about $100 and, with lots of time, effort and muscle, fashioned the roving into slightly felted yarn, made needles out of giant PVC pipes and stitched up the bulkiest blanket you’re likely to see.
The images of the process are pretty amazing — just imagine walking down the street and seeing a clothesline draped with roving! — so you’ll want to go check them all out and see the finished blanket, too!
Would you ever knit something like this? It’s pretty crazy but the results are awesome, too.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
