Colorwork yoke sweaters are so popular because they give you a classic look and you get to play with a bit of color without having to do colorwork for the full garment.
If you’re intimidated by the idea of a colorwork yoke in stranded knitting, try the Fizz Pop Sweater from Helen Kennedy.
This sweater looks like it uses traditional stranded knitting techniques but it’s actually done with slip stitches. (It’s pretty much the same pattern as my mosaic cowl, which has a little tutorial if you’ve never done slip stitch/mosaic knitting before).
This makes it a lot easier because you’re only working with one color per round. It goes pretty fast, too, because the repeat is short and easy to remember.
The pattern itself is worked with two colors of sport weight yarn, and there are options to make it short or long sleeved. There are a whopping 16 sizes up to a 64 inch chest measurement.
You can get the pattern on Ravelry.
