I love a good pom-pom, whether for a knitting project or just for fun — and they’re a great use of leftover yarn. I tend to use a purchased pom-pom maker, but it is a little tedious to make them this way, especially if you need a lot of them.
I’m definitely going to try this idea from Betz White to use a yarn winder to help with the process.
She winds some yarn onto her ball winder, ties it up and cuts it in half to make two big, fluffy pom-poms at once. And to make them even fluffier, well, you’ll just have to click over to her site to see her finishing secret.
Do you like to make pom-poms? What’s your favorite method?
