Knitting a cowl is a great way to use a small quantity of yarn, and it’s a little more fun than knitting a scarf. Blogger purl3agony recently came up with a cowl pattern that’s great for using a variegated yarn, because the traveling slip stitches move the colors around and help prevent color pooling.
The result is a pretty, warm cowl, and the way it’s worked it’s pretty narrow and tall so all the fabric stays right where you need it to keep you warm. This particular colorway is also excellent for bringing out blue eyes.
It looks like a pretty quick knit, and I’ll bet you’ve got something in your stash that would work for such a project, so why not make one this weekend?
