I am always struck with an urge to knit socks this time of year, and there’s no reason such socks can’t be seasonal as well.
These socks from Stitches and Marginalia are called Christmas socks, but they are really just winter socks, adorned as they are with trees and snowflakes.
She says you can just add the chart to any standard 72 stitch sock pattern (which makes a sock about 8 inches around the foot). The socks I like for my feet are 60 stitches, so I’d have to adapt the chart a bit (it looks like its a 24-stitch repeat) but that wouldn’t be too hard to do, and worth it for these cute socks.
Head to the blog for her basic pattern and to grab the chart.
