I have always wanted to make a scarf out of bulky yarn that is basically a bunch of big leaf motifs joined together so it looks like you’re wearing a boa of fall leaves.
Fallen is an even better version of that idea. Designed by Kyle Vey, it’s one large leaf, worked in DK weight yarn, that is big enough to be a shawl or scarf.
It has slanted lines along the length of the leaf to mimic veins, and you can knit an optional stem that is grafted onto the leaf after knitting, which doubles as a loop for securing the end when you wear it. So clever!
