This is exciting to me because she talks about wanting to learn the star stitch. I just recently became obsessed with star stitch, so this gives me the perfect opportunity to share a bit of my obsession with you.
I have a pattern over at About for a star stitch cuff that I made red, white and blue for the Fourth of July but you could absolutely make a solid color of your choice — it would also be really cool done in a multicolored yarn because the strands would show off the colors really well.
Star stitch is a little strange when you first try to do it, but once you’ve got it you will have it forever and it will be no problem. If words don’t do it for you, check out this video demo of how to do it from Vickie Howell. Simple, right?
