Project Finished!

June 26, 2007 |

The project that gave me nightmares is finished. In fact, it is finished and gifted! I spent the weekend in Connecticut with my pregnant daughter attending her baby shower. The project, a knitted baby blanket, is from a Leisure Arts leaflet titled KnitOne for Baby.

This blanket was worked on every chance I had; work, doctor appointments, even a six hour train trip to Chicago! The pattern is a simple one involving slipped stitches and yarn overs, but concentration was key as there was mega counting of stitches.

My daughter loved it and I think I did a good job too, at least in the pictures my knit stitches look uniform. I used Caron Simply Soft 100% Acrylic yarn to make it easy care for the new mother.
In addition to the blanket and baby clothes, I included another hobby of mine, machine embroidered baby bibs. I have been one busy grandma!!!

Thank you Penny! It was made with love, and lots of ripping, at least 3 times, LOL.
