Lion Brand Yarn has some really great products, and I’ve been a fan of theirs for a long time. But their new product, Bonbons, really caught my eye.
These mini-skein packs offer eight different colors of yarn in either cotton, acrylic or an acrylic/metallic polyester blend. The skeins are 28 yards each for the cotton and acrylic options and about 38 yards for the glittery option.
The cotton and metallic yarns are rated as fine weight (number 2), while the 100 percent acrylic is light weight (3).
There are six different colorways available, two in each material. These little skeins would be perfect for adding trim to a project, working a little striped or Fair Isle project, using for embellishing a finished project worked in another yarn or making small items like dolls or amigirumi.
I can’t wait to get my hands on these and I’ll let you know how it goes when I do. In the meantime, I’d love to know what your favorite kind of little knitting project is.

I love scarves. Short and simple, my favorite kind of knitting 🙂
Trying to pick up the art of toy making. I want to make a dinosaur.
