The fall issue of Vogue Knitting celebrates the magazine’s 30th anniversary, and the fashion preview has been released to get us all excited about the next things we want to knit.
Because 30 is the pearl anniversary, pearl is one of the themes, with a whole story around cream-colored yarns beaded with pearls (and also made with pearls). Other features include Wanderlust, all about texture and Eastern influences; Ode to the Aran, a collection of classic projects in of-the-moment jewel tones and saturated colors; and the Glamour Gallery, in which mohair yarns take center stage to produce pretty, luxurious garments.
The issue will also include a look at Kaffe Fassett’s autobiography, Deborah Newton’s look at finishing Aran projects and much more.
One project that caught my eye is a cool Fair Isle coat in which what’s typically thought of as the wrong side is worn as the outside. You have to take a lot of care with how you handle your floats on such a project, but it’s a beauty!
If you want to get a closer look at any of the projects, you can click on the pictures for a zoomed-in view. See anything you like? Spill it!
