It wasn’t until people commenting on the new giveaway mentioned that they like knitting fingerless gloves with sock yarn that I remembered my pattern for Custom Knit Armwarmers, which are, of course, made out of sock yarn.
Theses long fingerless gloves have a separate thumb hole and are worked all the way up to the elbow. The pattern provides my numbers and measurements, but because we all have different shapes I tell you everything you need to know to make a pair that’s just right for you.
I love the self-striping yarn on this project because it makes all that stockinette stitch a bit more interesting, but you can use any sock yarn you have at hand or even use leftovers to make your own stripey pattern.
Because I’m really bad about such things, I only just uploaded this one to Ravelry, but if you should make some of these for yourself, I’d love to see your results there!
Sometimes when I’m scrolling through Ravelry a pattern will catch my eye as much because of the name as the look of the design (which is a little hard to see in those little thumbnails sometimes, anyway).
Really beautiful fungerless. Thanks for sharing free pattern!
