There’s something about this time of year that makes me want to cozy up under a warm knit blanket, or maybe to knit a warm blanket.
If you’re looking for a great project to cozy under this fall and winter, check out the Shaded Stripes Afghan from Lion Brand Yarn. This project for intermediate knitters uses six colors of Wool-Ease and size 9 US (5.5 mm) knitting needles, meaning that it will be a pretty quick project even though it is large.
It uses a relatively easy slip stitch pattern to break up the colors and give the project a woven look. It’s just the thing to work on while watching movies in front of the fire!

As we get into the part of the year with a lot of food-forward holidays, it might be time to start thinking about knitting some new things for your table. While a few of these are more fall/Thanksgiving focused, just changing up the colors would make others work for Christmas, or keep it neutral and use them all year long.
