Wool 4, the new pattern book from Quince & Co., was recently released and its a beauty. It doesn’t hurt that the five designs come form two of my favorite designers: Cecily Glowick MacDonald and Melissa LaBarre.
These patterns are lovely and paired with the pretty, natural yarns of Q&C they’re that much nicer.
I’m particularly interested in River, a pullover with a buttoned raglan seam on one shoulder and right-side purl ridges for texture; and Sylvia, a cardigan with a diagonal button band that looks like it would be a lot of fun to knit and to wear (no one will think you got that from a store!).
The book, which includes five patterns — three sweaters, a hat and a long cowl — is $20; patterns are not sold individually.
See anything that catches your eye? I’d love to hear about it!

It feels like it’s too early to be thinking about back to school, but as I write this my daughter has just a couple of weeks of summer left! So let’s get in that school and fall knitting spirit by looking at some apple knitting projects.
