I have started knitting more garments for summer in the past couple of years, but I tend to knit things that are really plain this time of year. I don’t really know why.
But this year I’m looking for a little more embellishment — a little higher skill level, maybe — for all my knitting projects, so I’m finding myself attracted to the Zelda Crop Top designed by Handmade Closet.
This top down, stranded knit, short sleeved pullover has an intricate colorwork design around the yoke and the bottom of the sweater. It’s available in nine sizes, up to a 66 inch bust, and designed to be worn with a couple of inches of positive ease.
You can get the pattern on Ravelry for $8.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
