Using some of the Stitch Nation Washable Ewe yarn in my stash. Decided I needed a special “case” for all of my sock needles, the bamboo dpns, sized 1-5, so a “case” was created.
Basically started with just a rectangle maybe 8″x 20″. Then with different colors in the same Washable Ewe line, I picked up and knitted “flaps”, each flap a different color to stick each different size of sock dpns in. Then, an I-Cord to roll it all up with and it fits nicely in the bottom of my sock bag. all my needles are always with me.
Now, Washable Ewe is supposed to be a super wash, but I’m going to try it out. Actually, if it shrank or felted just a bit that would be perfect, so we’ll see if a warm wash and tumble in the dryer can make that happen.
As far as knitting with this, it was easy. Tended to split a bit, but not so much that I tossed it out the window. Nice drape, beautiful colors, will definitely use this one again. Very affordable, worsted weight, and you can read more about it HERE, at Debbie Stoller’s Stitch Nation Site.
