I love this idea for a really classy way to turn a sweater into a stash-busting project.
The Dipped Arms pattern from Katrin Schneider is mostly a simple Stockinette cardigan, but the ends of the sleeves are worked in a couple of different contrasting colors.
This technique is a great plan if you have almost enough yarn for a sweater, but not quite. And the look is actually quite lovely. Of course you could do this on purpose, too. I just love the idea of this design coming about through necessity, even if it isn’t true.
The pattern is available on Ravelry for €6, or about $7.22. It has a long version and a short version, and the long version has pockets!
