I recently knit the Flow top by Norah Gaughan, the pattern and yarn for which had been in my stash just about forever (since the pattern was published in 2008 or so, I think that qualifies as forever in knitting years). I think mine came out at a looser gauge than it probably should have (even going down a couple of needle sizes) so I have to wear a camisole underneath, but I still really like it as a great knit that I can wear even in the heat of summer.
The Diumenge Vest by Jennifer Callahan reminds me a bit of Flow, because it uses a similar kind of textured yarn and is worked at a rather open gauge because it’s meant to be worn over another garment.
It’s a great little piece of knitting that would be great in just about any kind of summery sport (or even worsted) weight yarn you have lying around, and its a super simple Stockinette project worked on big needles so you can still enjoy it this season.
