Even if you’re not working on gift knitting right now, it seems like this time of year with its hurried atmosphere is great for quick knitting projects. And because you’ve probably just dropped a lot of coin on holiday gifts, projects that use a small amount of yarn are great choices for your budget as well.
This cable knit neckwarmer from Margot at Eye of Style uses just a skein of yarn, and the yarn called for costs about $8.50. It’s a colorful little luxury that would make any neck happy this time of year.
It’s a pretty quick pattern, too, as its just a little rectangle with buttonholes on one side. Sew on some funky buttons and you’ll have a piece with tons of personality without a lot of effort.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
