One of the yarns I used in my book that I completely fell in love with was Berroco Linsey. This pretty cotton yarn/linen yarn just says summer to me, and I used a multicolored pink version to knit an adorable (if I do say so myself) little dress.
Berroco has a new free pattern out using the yarn for a three-quarter sleeved cardigan that’s great for knitting and wearing this time of year. Known as Skagit, it’s a really easy project — it doesn’t even have buttonholes! — but the construction is still interesting enough to hold the attention of knitters with a range of experience levels.
If you, like me, are one of those people who’s cold pretty much all the time you’re inside during the summer, this little project would be a nice remedy.
