I love the look of the Mixtape Beanie, a free knitting pattern from 1 Dog Woof designed in collaboration with Lion Brand Yarn as part of their Stomp out Bullying campaign.
Even though it’s a little late to be knitting for that event on October 1, it’s a great hat to knit in blue and wear throughout the month and all winter long.
It’s a cool two-color stitch pattern called Broken Seed Stitch, which involves alternating rib and knit rounds in different colors for a fun mixed up look.
And of course it looks great in all sorts of colors.
Worked in Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick, this is a simple, quick and affordable project that great for gift knitting or getting on and off your needles before the cold weather hits.

Looking for more Knitted Beanie patterns? Check out these Knitting patterns we found on Etsy.
We’re a big Studio Ghibli household, and while they are sometimes very protective of their copyrights (as evidenced by the number of patterns on Ravelry that were removed from the service when it received a takedown notice back in 2021), there are still a fair number of Totoro knitting patterns (as well as other designs I’m sure we’ll get to someday). Let’s check them out!
I can’t find the pattern 🙁
