A Super Bulky Scarf that Knits up Super Fast

January 26, by Sarah White. 1 Comment

simple ribbed knit scarfThere’s something to be said for quick knits pretty much all the time, but in this season when it doesn’t feel like winter is ever going to end (but we know that it really will pretty soon) it’s a great idea to have some quick, warm knits on the needles.

Or if you’re the southern half of the world and know winter is coming soon, same thing.

This simple bulky ribbed scarf from Patty Mac Knits is worked with two strands of yarn held together on big needles. Working ribbing like this makes it super fluffy, and that makes it extra warm.

It also makes the knitting go pretty fast because every stitch takes up a lot of room. You could probably knit this one in a weekend, and it would make a great gift for Valentine’s Day or anything else you might want to give a gift for in the near future.

Thanks for the shout out!! I am wearing this project right now as my every day scarf, and I love it so much!! It’s really warm and it looks so good. I also included a video tutorial if someone is not clear in the the techniques. It’s a fantastic beginner’s project!
