I love knitting little hearts. They’re such a fun shape and usually pretty quick and easy to complete.
The Heart pattern from Kristina Bolbat is a sweet little design you can work up in any gauge yarn you have handy, so it’s a great use of your little odd balls and leftovers (you’ll need around 45 to 55 yards).
It’s also worked in the round, which is kind of unusual for heart patterns, which are more commonly worked flat and seamed.
The pattern is on Ravelry and is in English and Russian, and has plenty of pictures to show you what to do.

It feels like it’s too early to be thinking about back to school, but as I write this my daughter has just a couple of weeks of summer left! So let’s get in that school and fall knitting spirit by looking at some apple knitting projects.
