Admittedly it might be a little late to knit a whole sweater for Halloween unless you’re working on it all the time, but I couldn’t resist sharing the jack o’lantern chart Heidi from Hands Occupied used when she knit her adorable vintage-style Halloween sweater.
You could use the chart to make a pillow (only knit the front and use a funky holiday fabric on the back) or put the face onto an already-knit item using duplicate stitch. Easy peasy.
