My daughter has actually been back at school almost a month already, but it still feels like back to school time, doesn’t it? If you know a little one who has gone back to school recently and you want to celebrate that fact with knitting, you should check out the totally sweet designs from Back to School Knits by Holly Klein, a free, three-pattern collection from Knit Picks.
In addition to the adorable paper sweater shown, there’s a pattern for a roll-brim hat inspired by a pencil and a shawl-collar cardigan that looks like a composition notebook.
Their projects are so cute and a fun way to celebrate fall. I kind of want to make a composition notebook sweater for myself.
What are you stitching this fall? Knitting anything for kids? I’d love to hear what’s on your needles.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
