So I scored some of Knit Picks newest yarn, Andes del Campo.
This is a lofty 2 ply almost but not quite chunky (kind of like a thick worsted weight), wonderfully heathery yarn. I’m knitting my new favorite quick pattern, the Croc Socks. I first knit them out of another Knit Picks yarn, Wool of the Andes Tonals, and felted them. (on purpose).
Now, I’m a country girl and if I’m wearing socks, its because my feet are cold. So to have a pair of socks made from worsted weight felted wool is super cool!
Oh, yeah, back to Andes del Campo. I did the stockinette thing – very smooth. Did the K1 P1 rib, very nice. Did the cables – great definition. All in all, I like it. The colors are gorgeous; I’m using the Vineyard Heather colorway, and even though it’s a darker color, the stitches still pop.
You can see all of the colors, HERE
Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
I am so happy to hear that you liked Andes del Campo. I am also a bit jealous. I’ve only been able to fondle the yarn so far. I’ve knit a few swatches but no project yet.
