I know I probably already have enough triangular and asymmetrical triangle shawls, but that doesn’t stop me from seeing patterns online and wanting to knit them. Maybe I need a different shawl for every week of shawl season? That would be a fun way to use up my giant yarn stash…
Anyway, the Altitude pattern from Alla Saenko is just the sort of shawl to make me want to knit more shawls. For one thing, it’s big, which I love (though there is a small version, too, if you’re into that sort of thing) and the design is easy but not boring.
It’s shaped on both ends and features sections of Garter Stitch and eyelets. It’s lovely in a solid color or a harmonious variegated colorway. It’s a free pattern available on Ravelry.
