I guess today is the day for really easy, cute projects, because I also came across this one, the Sunset Scarf from Make it Handmade. It’s a simple ribbed scarf worked in a small amount of bulky yarn with a keyhole in it so it can be sort but still stay on a child’s neck.
It also doubles as a headband/earwarmer; just pull the end through and tuck it under the band.
What a great pattern for someone learning to knit and purl in the same row, or for anyone who wants or needs a quick, relatively mindless project. And it’s cute, too!
