Earlier today I was writing about washcloths and dishcloths as a great summer knitting project option, but of course there are other small projects for the home that are great to knit when it’s hot out.
A wonderful example is this table mat from Classic Elite Yarns. It’s a really pretty pattern, worked in some fun yarns, and the bias knitting aspect of it makes it just a little bit more fun to knit.
Once you whip up a set for your table, you could knit another stack and sew the end to end to make a table runner, too. Or use the pattern and yarns from your stash to make a bunch of non-matching place mats to use together.
