The new issue of Knitty dropped the other day, and this pattern caught my eye so I needed to share it with you.
Sashiko Scallops by Kimberly Kalnoki is a pretty two-color thrown inspired by Japanese embroidery and worked in a two-color brioche technique.
If you’re already comfortable with two-color brioche it’s not actually that difficult because the same increases and decreases are used throughout for shaping.
It’s worked with super bulky yarn in blue and worsted white to play up the contrast of the stitching without increasing the difficulty.
This pattern is super intriguing and would be a great winter project! Grab the free pattern from Knitty.
