Mermaid tail blankets have been a thing for a while, but I’m starting to see more princess dress blankets out in the world, and this is a cute one.
Melody’s Makings has both knit and crocheted versions of her princess dress blanket, which you can work in any colors to suit your little one’s favorite princess (or favorite colors).
It takes a bit of doing to get the free pattern: she wants you to like it and add it to your Ravelry queue, then share her post and add your name and email to a form, which signs you up for her newsletter. But for a super cute free pattern, it’s worth it.
I’d love to know if any of you make this one and how it turns out!

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
