I got an email the other day sharing the newest pattern collection from Knit Picks, and I just had to let you all know about it.
The 9 Lives Collection features 10 knitting patterns involving cats. There’s a sweater with a giant cat on the front (and a cardigan with cats ducking in and out of the pockets), cat slippers, scarf, hat and mitts, a kitty cowl and an afghan with a catlike motif.
The patterns can be purchased individually for $4.99 each, or the ebook is $14.99. The paper book is on sale as I write this for $15.99.
The Professor Meow sweater pictured on the cover is probably my favorite. What about you?

We’re a big Studio Ghibli household, and while they are sometimes very protective of their copyrights (as evidenced by the number of patterns on Ravelry that were removed from the service when it received a takedown notice back in 2021), there are still a fair number of Totoro knitting patterns (as well as other designs I’m sure we’ll get to someday). Let’s check them out!
Shame on you taking money for knitting patterns. People should exchange/share knitting patterns for free
Really Cindy? The woman is a published author … do you expect to be paid for your work? Personally I have no talent for design and am grateful that there are people who are willing to sell their work. If they choose to release some patterns for free…that’s great too.
