Donatella from Inspiration and Realisation recently spied a men’s designer cardigan that she was sure she could knit, and she pulled it off splendidly. Her DIY Ermanno Scervino cardigan is very similar to the original and actually a pretty easy knit, worked in bulky wool and alpaca blend mostly in garter stitch. (And I’m pretty sure it cost significantly less than the original, which retailed for $835.)
Her instructions are given for the size she knit and are shown in a chart form rather than written out, but it’s such a striaghtforward design that it would be easy to follow her design or use these drawings to figure out how to make the project for a special man in your life — or to fit you, for that matter. It certainly looks like a warm, snuggly cardigan that anyone would enjoy wearing in the cold weather!
