This time of year isn’t a great one for knitting sweaters in the Northern Hemisphere, but I feel like knitting a vest would be appropriate no matter where you live in the world.
Little vests are a great extra layer whether you’re only a little cold or you need a bit of extra protection because it’s really colod outside.
The Tryst cropped vest from Kristen TenDyke is a great option for a vest you can slip over a button-down shirt or under a sweater depending on the weather where you live.
It uses worsted weight yarn and is available in 5 sizes up to a 46 inch bust. It’s worked flat and seamed and uses buttons to close at the front. Grab the free pattern from Kristen’s website.

We’re a big Studio Ghibli household, and while they are sometimes very protective of their copyrights (as evidenced by the number of patterns on Ravelry that were removed from the service when it received a takedown notice back in 2021), there are still a fair number of Totoro knitting patterns (as well as other designs I’m sure we’ll get to someday). Let’s check them out!
I want to order but NOT with paypal. Put in my charge card info but PayPal was the only option.
I would like to receive the crop vest pattern.
It’s a free pattern on her website!
If you are buying through Ravelry you should be able to use a credit card. But the pattern is also free on her website.
