Easy Hats to Knit for All

January 16, 2015 by Sarah White

Hat knitting patterns free ebook form Red Heart.I got a random email from Red Heart the other day thanking me for subscribing to their newsletter (which I have done for a long time, is why it was random) but it included a link to an ebook all Best Hats for All, which includes 18 knit and crocheted hat patterns sized for babies up to adults.

There are eight patterns for knit hats, including owl hats for adults and kids, a couple of mostly stockinette hats, a ribbed hat and scarf set, a cabled hat for little kids, a set of basic watch caps (pom-pom optional) sized from kids to adult men and a wee little hat for a newborn.

The owl hats are the cutest, of course, but the rest of these are nice, basic patterns you can knit for your whole family, for gift knitting or for charity projects.

See anything that catches your eye? I’d love to hear about it.

Brava Yarn Is 20% Off All September

Brava Yarn Is 20% Off All September

If you need soft, affordable yarn for a project that will actually be used and washed, Brava is worth adding to your list. This bestselling acrylic yarn is the Yarn of the Month and is currently 20% off throughout September, with no discount code required.

Brava is softer than many traditional acrylic yarns while still offering the durability and easy-care finish needed for everyday projects. It is a practical choice for baby blankets, children’s clothing, crochet toys, washable gifts, accessories and family-sized afghans.

One of Brava’s biggest attractions is its colour range. You can create bright rainbow projects, gentle nursery palettes, seasonal combinations or classic neutrals without spending a fortune. It is also available in four different yarn weights, making it suitable for everything from lightweight accessories to thick, cosy blankets.

This is what I would call a real workhorse yarn. It is comfortable to work with, available in plenty of colours and durable enough for projects that will receive a lot of love.

With Brava currently 20% off, September is a great time to test a new colour, plan a washable blanket or stock up for the projects already waiting in your queue.
