Even though I just told you about knitting a hat, and I have worn it a few times (because it has been cold, and not just cold for Arkansas, but actually cold), I’m not really that big into wearing hats. I feel like they push on my head and I just don’t really like the feeling.
I do, however, like to be warm, and the solution is to knit cozy headbands that can cover my ears. I have shared my love of headbands before in this roundup of 10 free headband patterns (which more than a year later is still incredibly popular, so thanks for that!) but I just came across another great one I want to add to my collection soon.
The Toboggan Headband by Susan Mills for Classic Elite Yarns is a great little project, using a single skein of bulky yarn and garter stitch so it’ll be on and off the needles fast.
This one also has a cute shape and I-cord ties that can be fastened behind the head or under the chin if you like that look.
It looks like a really great, easy pattern you could whip up in no time for a weekend outing, or just to add to your everyday rotation.
Do you like knit hats or would you rather wear a headband? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
