I saw the Snowy Earflap Hat from Red Heart Yarns on Twitter the other day, and it’s just so cute I had to share it. (I originally typed “I hat to share it” because my mind is ridiculous.)
Designed by Lorna Miser, the outside of the hat is a plain Stockinette earflap hat, but it’s edged with a fuzzy yarn that makes it look and feel like fur.
Despite the title saying it’s a child’s hat, the pattern actually has three sizes — 18, 20 and 22 inches — which means it will fit a child, a teen and a woman. Either way it takes one ball of each kind of yarn, which makes it a rather inexpensive project as well (the two yarns used in the sample would cost you just over $10).
The pattern is rated easy and is available free at the Red Heart website.
Who would you knit this hat for? I’m sure my daughter would love it!
